NetSetGO is a 3 tier structured program aimed to introduce young players to Netball.
Its is aimed at players aged 5 to 10 and has been run for a number of years by Netball NSW, MWNA and Mona Vale Commodores Netball Club.
Every week, your child will take part in skill based activities, minor games and modified matches that will help them develop fundamental movement skills and learn basic netball skills including throwing, passing and catching. They’ll also learn those all-important social skills like team work and communication, and develop a love of our sport and physical activity.
Mona Vale Commodores runs teams in all tiers of NetSetGO and invites new players join the program and participate at any age, regardless of sex, age and experience. Go to our registrations page to find the details on how to join Mona Vale Commodores Netball Club.
The program is structured as follows:
- Net is for 5 to 6 year olds and teaches fundamental motor skills through activities and games.
- Set is for 7 to 8 year olds and focuses on refining fundamental motor skills and introducing modified match play.
- GO is for 9 to 10 year olds and focuses on developing netball specific skills through modified match play.
All registered participants receive a participant pack. The contents may vary each year but should include at least
- Woolworths NetSetGO T-Shirt.
- other NetSetGO branded item
